How
Our subconscious mind automatically regulates our body temperature, keeps us breathing in and out, maintains our proper heart rate and blood pressure, and it always works for our best interest. The tricky part is that many of the things it believes are in our “best interest” may be in direct conflict with our conscious desires. This is true because our emotional-mind is great at leading us to immediate solutions and keeping us out of situations it associated with bad experiences. Our emotional or subconscious mind is also terrible at long range planning.

Bad News/Good News
The bad news is if we feel anxiety or boredom, or have some other feeling we want to move away from or simply avoid feeling in the first place, our subconscious is liable to distract us in the best way it knows. For many of us its “best strategy” is to send us into comfort or habit eating, or away from exercise and back to the couch. Some people manage to take off unwanted weight only to realize that they no longer “feel like themselves,” or they may feel “unsafe,” or “exposed,” because of some unrecognized internal belief. The subconscious mind will always win out over will power because it has a strong desire to prove that its ideas and beliefs are true.

The good news is that with Hypnosis and NLP we can use that same ability of the mind to direct your behavior to have and maintain motivation, adjust your attitude, and create new and healthier habit that will result in a happier, healthier you.
